Glenn Ibbitson

Glenn Ibbitson uses painting, printmaking, video, collage and graphic novels to engage with issues of surveillance, homelessness, people trafficking and infringements of individual liberty.  ‘Death of Richthofen’ weaves historical events into a personal meditation on a father and son relationship, investigating distortions of both personal and collective memory.
The message of any work  is usually embedded as subtext, under cover of representational painting employing techniques extracted from the Western painting tradition.
